Rep. Mentzer Comments on Bill to Amend the State Constitution to Shrink the Size of the PA House of Representatives

Jun. 25, 2018  Download

Legislation which would amend the Pennsylvania Constitution to reduce the number of seats in the House of Representatives from 203 to 151 has been approved by the PA Senate and has returned to the House for final consideration. The amendment process requires the measure to be passed during two consecutive legislative sessions and then placed on the ballot for voter approval in a statewide referendum. Rep. Steven Mentzer (R-Lancaster) said final passage of the legislation would move the process forward so Pennsylvania voters could have the final say in the November election.
