Mentzer Announces State Funding for Unprecedented Entertainment Facility
LITITZ – A $3 million state grant has been awarded to begin construction on a unique entertainment production facility planning to break ground in the Borough of Lititz and Warwick Township, said Rep. Steve Mentzer (R-Lancaster), who advocated for the funding on behalf of the organization, along with the Lancaster County delegation.

The funding comes from the state’s Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program (RACP), which provides grants to local communities for the acquisition and construction of regional economic, cultural, civic, and historical improvement projects. The program, which was recently reformed by the General Assembly, provides state funding to selected projects with a combination of job-creation potential, economic impact, viability and construction readiness.

“I was pleased to learn that Rock Lititz was selected to receive state funding under the newly designed RACP program,” Mentzer said. “This is a major economic growth investment that will have a significant positive impact on our community. I thank the governor for releasing the funds to make this project a reality.”

Rock Lititz will be the first location of its kind, dedicated to creating the highest quality products available for touring, permanent installations and corporate events for the live event production industry. As a result of the grant, work will begin with the first building on the property, a set-up facility known as “Rock Lititz Studios.”

“Our delegation met with developers Clair Global and Tait Towers and viewed the 96 acres that were purchased and are ready for development. The campus is expected to attract top-name entertainers like, Bon Jovi, the Radio City Rockettes and Justin Timberlake,” said Mentzer. “Most importantly, it has the potential to create upward of 600 long-term jobs in our community, as well as hundreds more with local support vendors.

“I was pleased to advocate on behalf of this impressive and impactful vision for our region. This type of development is not only ideal for the Lititz area, and all of Lancaster County, but is exactly what our Commonwealth needs to spur job growth and stimulate our economy.”

Developers of Rock Lititz are expected to hold an event in February.
